This means that while most students will be able to obtain university accommodation if they wish, certain residences will inevitably be full by the time the later applications are processed. Within each category, the date on which the application form is received in the Accommodation Office is taken into account. Certain residences fill up very quickly indeed, and no student in any category is guaranteed a place in a particular residence.
Students who accept a place in a University Residence are normally expected to stay for the three terms of the academic session, unless they are admitted for a course whose duration is less than one academic year. Having accepted a place in a University Residence students are required to abide by the Residence Regulations.
