The aim of this is to help the Sabbatical Officers base policy on factual evidence rather than assumptions. Closure of Police Stations Departmental Changes NSL Library closures This also includes the yearly omnibus survey that is undertaken online in conjunction with the University to inform all sides about the quality of teaching and other aspects of the Student experience at Swansea University. We also set up online petitions if and when necessary. Alongside online surveys we organise and run focus groups when needed to look at issues in depth. This page is devoted to the Student Union's Activities in Research and Representation. Representation occurs at various levels both within the structure of the University and Student Union. Of particular importance is the use of Course Representatives. These volunteers represent ordinary student views to the University at School, Departmental and Year levels. They are also important link between the Student Body and the SUSU and the University, being one of the main conduits for feedback and issues to be addressed by both the Student Union and the University. SUSU arranges the Course reps assembly where University representatives at every level come together, undertake training and interact with one another, both at the level of professional networking and through social events.
