Swansea Medicals RFC is a rugby football club originally set up to represent the Medical School and College of Human and Health Sciences. More recently, we accept players from all course backgrounds; including those outside of the Medical School and College of Human and Health Sciences.
For the 2024/25 season we will be competing in the National Association of Medical Schools (NAMS) rugby union cup. This gives us the opportunity to play competitive rugby against other university medical schools, giving opportunity for both home and away fixtures.
We are always looking to recruit enthusiastic and dedicated individuals who want to play rugby. We highly encourage anyone who is willing to commit to a training session a week to join, no matter the time of year. This will run on Thursday evenings from 6pm to 8pm.
We also have a Womens Rugby side, where women can come and learn rugby in a safe and friendly environment, open to all ages and abilities.
In addition to our Rugby Union training we have a weekly mixed gender touch rugby session for fun and fitness running on a Monday 6-7pm.
