Welcome to the Swansea University Triathlon Club!
A welcoming and sociable club, we hold regular training sessions across the week that welcome all abilities! Whether you are a first time swimmer, cyclist or runner or an experienced triathlete there’s a space for you within the club. We represent the university at races across the UK including BUCS and local races! Whether you are looking to complete your first triathlon, just train or get a new PB, then this is the club for you!
As a member of our club you can get involved in a variety of exciting activities including; sea and open water swimming, bike rides surrounded by the natural beauty of the Gower and mountains of the Brecon Beacons, as well as sunset runs along the beach to The Mumbles. Don’t worry if you don’t want to do all three sports, the amount you train is completely up to you! We train at the Wales National Pool twice a week offering lanes for different abilities, social runs and rides also split into ability groups. We also run girls only sessions to encourage girls getting into the sport.

Joining the club:
Once you've been in touch the next step is to purchase your membership, you'll need to have already purchased Sport Swansea membership. Compulsory for all sports clubs for insurance purposes. Your membership fees cover the cost of running the club and allows us to subsidise the cost of pool hire and training sessions at Carmarthen track among other things. Once you’ve paid membership you’ll be added to the paid members Facebook page where all the information needed will be posted!

Training Schedule:
- Please note, members are not required to attend all training sessions. The club allows members to take training as serious or as casual as they like, with no pressure but a supportive atmosphere. (Some of us are just here for the socials!)
Monday: Strength and Conditioning @WNP, 7:45pm -8:45pm
Swimming @ WNP, 21:00-22:00 (50m pool)
Tuesday: Early Morning Run (Time and Location TBC)
Wednesday: Cycling (Group Rides), 14:00 @ Secret Beach Café ( If weather is poor a spin class might be arrarnged)
Thursday: Swimming @ WNP, 20:30-21:30 (25m pool)
Friday: Social Run @ Fulton House 6.30pm
Saturday and Sunday: Longer Rides or Runs (TBC)

Socials
In the past, our sober socials have included laser tag, Limitless Trampoline Park, beach BBQs and pasta parties before races. Our other, themed socials are held on the famous Wind St. The socials are a great way to get to know your fellow triathletes outside of training and are a lot of fun! There’s no pressure to drink but with all the encouragement to join in the fun.

Yn glwb croesawgar a chymdeithasol, rydym yn cynnal sesiynau hyfforddi rheolaidd drwy gydol yr wythnos sy'n croesawu pob gallu! P'un a ydych chi'n nofiwr, yn feiciwr neu'n rhedwr tro cyntaf neu'n driathletwr profiadol, mae lle i chi yn y clwb. Rydym yn cynrychioli'r brifysgol mewn rasys ar draws y DU gan gynnwys BUCS a rasys lleol! P'un a ydych yn bwriadu cwblhau eich triathlon cyntaf, dim ond hyfforddi neu gael PB newydd, yna dyma'r clwb i chi!
Fel aelod o'n clwb gallwch gymryd rhan mewn amrywiaeth o weithgareddau cyffrous gan gynnwys; nofio môr a dŵr agored, teithiau beic wedi'u hamgylchynu gan harddwch naturiol Gŵyr a mynyddoedd Bannau Brycheiniog, yn ogystal â theithiau machlud ar hyd y traeth i'r Mwmbwls. Peidiwch â phoeni os nad ydych am wneud y tair chwaraeon, mae'r swm rydych chi'n ei hyfforddi i fyny i chi yn llwyr! Rydym yn hyfforddi ym Mhwll Cenedlaethol Cymru ddwywaith yr wythnos gan gynnig lonydd ar gyfer gwahanol alluoedd, rhediadau cymdeithasol a reidiau hefyd wedi'u rhannu'n grwpiau gallu.
Rydym hefyd yn cynnal sesiynau i ferched yn unig i annog merched i ymuno â'r gamp.
