About Us
Swansea University’s Women In Law Society is both an academic and social society which welcomes all students who identify as female or non-binary who study law or are considering a career in the legal profession. We are a society dedicated to supporting, empowering and advancing the interests of women in the legal profession.
What do we do?
We provide opportunities for our members to connect with their peers, mentors and professionals by fostering a supportive community. We offer a wide range of networking events and workshops to give you the guidance and knowledge you need to thrive during your law degree and beyond. As well as this, we host regular socials from coffee mornings and study sessions to cocktail masterclass sessions, pub crawls and nights out! Attending our socials is an amazing way to meet other course mates and individuals from all years of study!
What your membership includes?
Once you have purchased your Women in Law membership make sure to follow us on our social media platforms and Instagram page. Message us on Instagram to be added to our WhatsApp group chat. All our events will be shared at the end of each month on our Instagram page and WhatsApp group chat.

We are thrilled to introduce ourselves as a dedicated group of third-year law students, excited to lead this years Women in Law Society. Whether you’re a first-year student just starting your journey or a returning student, we can’t wait to welcome you back to Swansea with some incredible social events and opportunities for you to get involved in.
As third-year students we bring a wealth of experience and are more than willing to assist with applications for Vacation Schemes, Training Contracts, Insight Days and Pupillage schemes. We are passionate about making your law school experience as valuable as possible and are eager to share our knowledge with you.
Our committee members have a wide range of interests and strengths across different areas of law, and we’re here to help you navigate your journey. Whether you need advice, guidance, or just a chat about your future in law, we’re here for you!
