Swansea University Choral Society is a vibrant and active community of singers. With a wide variety of pieces as well as solo/ small group opportunities we have something for everyone!
Our Choirs
• Main Choir, a large unauditioned choir singing pieces from all over the musical landscape. Includes pop, contemporary, classical and musicals.
**Choral Society membership is required to sing in the choir. **
You do not need to sight-read or have any choral experience to be part of our choirs. Whether your background is in youth choirs, shower singing, Cathedral singing or car singing, we'll have something you'll enjoy.
• Main Choir rehearsals take place from 6.30pm - 8.30pm, Fulton House, every Monday and Tuesday
• Small Group pieces- information will be handed out during other rehearsals and via email regarding our small group pieces.

Performances
Our regular large performances include a Christmas and Summer concert in St. Benedicts, Sketty or Taliesin on Singleton campus, We also typicallly perform on stage at the Summer Ball and perform with other Musicians Societies at various Uni events throughout the year.
We have performed far and wide. In Easter 2019 we toured in Estonia as part of the European Student Orchestra Festival, and in 2018 we went to New York to sing in Carnegie Hall with The Kings Singers. We also sing at some local community events throughout the year.

FAQ's
What is the difference between the membership the types?
All Swansea Uni students should purchase Standard membership, Associate membership is for people who aren't students (e.g SU staff, recent graduates, ect.).
When do I have to purchase membership?
Feel free to attend your first few rehearsals, no membership required. If you decide that the Choral Society is something you would like to continue past your taster rehearsals, you will need to purchase society membership. Please note that membership is required to take part in any performances.
Is it too late for me to join?
You can join the Choral Society at any point, we will be accepting new singers throughout the term!
