Swansea University Debating Society offers the chance to improve your public speaking and argumentation skills in a polite and professional setting. We debate a wide range of topics, including the political, economic, and moral issues relevant in today's society, to light-hearted motions in order to have fun and encourage critical thinking. Swansea University Debating Society is open to everyone, regardless of experience.
As a society, we travel to a number of competitions at other universities, including Welsh Novices where new debaters will have the opportunity to debate in a competition setting.
We also hold a wide variety of socials every year so there is always something going on to get involved with.

Mae Cymdeithas Dadlau Prifysgol Abertawe yn cynnig y cyfle i wella’ch sgiliau siarad yn gyhoeddus a chweryla mewn amgylchedd cwrtais a phroffesiynol. Rydym yn dadlau ar amrywiad eang o dopigau, gan gynnwys gwleidyddol, economaidd, a materion moesol sy’n berthnasol mewn cymdeithas gyfoes, i gynigion mwy ysgafn er mwyn cael hwyl ac annog meddwl yn feirniadol. Mae Cymdeithas Dadlau Prifysgol Abertawe ar agor i bawb, beth bynnag eich profiad.
Fel cymdeithas, rydym yn teithio i nifer o gystadlaethau mewn prifysgolion eraill, ac ym mis Tachwedd, byddem ni’n cynnal Cystadleuaeth Dechreuwyr Cymraeg lle bydd cyfle i ddadleuwyr newydd ddadlau mewn amgylchedd cystadleuol.
Rydym hefyd yn cynnal amrywiad eang o sosials bob blwyddyn felly mae yna wastad rhywbeth yn mynd ymlaen ac i fod yn rhan ohono.
