Our Society is open to all students of all nationalities who are interested in exploring and experiencing the rich cultures of Latin America!
Our Aims:
1. Promote Latin American culture: We aim to celebrate and showcase the diverse and rich cultures of Latin America through cultural events and our amazing food. 2. Foster a community and support networks: We want to create a supportive and inclusive community for Latin American students like we may have at home on campus providing opportunities for networking, mentorship, and socializing. 3. Build bridges across cultures: We want to make opportunities for cross-cultural exchange and dialogue, building understanding and connections between Latin Americans and other cultural communities on campus. Our society would mainly be hosting a variety of cultural events that promote Latin American culture such as dance classes, music events, sport events, and food festivals that allow for everyone to experience how amazing Latin American culture truly is. We also plan to organize a variety of social events and informal gatherings, such as movie nights, game nights, or potluck dinners, to build community and foster connections between members.
We would also like to celebrate major Latin American Festivals such as: • Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) • The Carnaval • Feria de Las Flores (Flower Festival) • Inti Raymi (Festival of the Sun) • Copa América
