Disability History Month works to promote the rights of disabled people and their previous and continued struggle for equality.
The campaign focuses on raising awareness of both visible and hidden disabilities to combat negative stigma and stereotypes. At the Students' Union, we are passionate about making our disabled students feel seen, heard, and supported.
By sharing resources, we aim to raise awareness and challenge the negative stereotypes that many people in the disabled community face.
Throughout Disability History Month, we also run a variety of events aimed at encouraging inclusive discussion. Check out our What's On page to find out more!
