Here are 10 mental health tips every student should know!

1. Meditate

benefits: increased focus, emotional well-being, decreased stress, better sleep

Practice mindfulness through meditation. Try this 5-minute mindfulness meditation and check in with yourself when it's over.

2. Yoga/Stretch

benefits: increased flexibility, decreased stress, improved relaxation, better sleep

Take 10 minutes (or more) each day to stretch out. Take a look at this gentle 10-minute yoga and stretching session, perfect for beginners.

3. Peppermint tea

benefits: improved digestion, better sleep, increased concentration, decreased stress

It's an easy way to add some well-being to your day. Pick up a box of peppermint tea from Costcutter when you're next at Fulton House.

4. Get closer to nature

There are lots of beautiful places in Swansea to get out and closer to nature. We've got stunning beaches and beautiful parks - have you seen the Well-being Garden in Singleton Park?

5. Eat well

Getting into the habit of healthy eating and regular exercise can make huge improvements to your mental health. Take a look at Swansea University's info on how to eat well on campus.

6. Spend time with animals

Petting cats, feeding squirrels and walking dogs have all been linked with improved mental health. Did you know that Molly the therapy dog visits Singleton campus every Thursday lunchtime? You can meet her outside Fulton House.

7. Get creative

Making music, painting a picture or singing a song, getting creative is a great way to destress. If you're looking for inspo, there are lots of art galleries and music venues dotted around the city!

8. Change your mindset

When we're stressed out and not feeling our best selves, it's easy for thoughts to spiral and negative thinking to take over. Get a handle on your intrusive thoughts and break the spiral with these tips.

9. Join a society
