Important Information for Students Regarding COVID Passes
In light of Welsh Government decisions on the introduction of NHS COVID passed from Monday 11th of October, we are encouraging students to get prepared.
These new guidelines will mean that anyone aged 18 and over will have to provide evidence of being fully vaccinated, or have had a negative lateral flow test (LFT) taken 48 hours before entering some social venues.
These rules apply to:
· nightclubs and similar venues
· unseated indoor venues with more than 500 people in the audience
· any outdoor or indoor venues with a capacity over 4,000, including seated venues
· any event, of any nature, which has more than 10,000 people in attendance
You can find the most up to date information from the Welsh Government here.
Digital NHS COVID Pass
If you’re fully vaccinated, you can get prepared by signing up via a smart device here.
Paper NHS COVID Pass
If you aren’t able to obtain a digital pass, or do not have photographic ID, you can request a paper COVID pass.
Note: You will need to wait for at least five days following your final dose before requesting a paper pass.
This service is available seven days, a week, between 9am and 5pm via 0300 3030 5667. GPs are not able to issue these passes, and these passes cannot be used as proof of identification.
Note: The process of requesting a paper pass can take up to 10 working days, so we would encourage students to use this service as soon as possible.
Lateral Flow Test
If you are not fully vaccinated, you can still gain access to these social venues with proof of a negative LFT test taken 48 hours before admittance. This will need to be logged to the NHS app or website.
Venue staff will ask for proof of any of the above with ID before allowing entry to the specified social venues.
At present there is no further guidance for individuals who are not fully vaccinated due to medical exemptions. As this information becomes available, we will communicate it to you.
More information can be found here.
As always we would like to thank all students in our community for their understanding, patience, and support.
Diolch yn fawr.
Gwybodaeth Bwysig i Fyfyrwyr Ynghylch pasiau COVID
Yng ngoleuni penderfyniadau Llywodraeth Cymru ar gyflwyno pasiau COVID y GIG o Ddydd Llun 11eg Hydref, rydym yn annog myfyrwyr i baratoi.
Bydd y canllawiau newydd hyn yn golygu y bydd yn rhaid i unrhyw un 18 oed a hyn ddarparu tystiolaeth eu bod wedi'u brechu'n llawn, neu wedi cael prawf llif unffordd (LFT) 48 awr cyn mynd i rai lleoliadau cymdeithasol.
Mae’r rheolau hyn yn gymwys i:
· glybiau nos a lleoliadau tebyg
· leoliadau dan do heb seddi gyda dros 500 o bobl yn y gynulleidfa
· unrhyw leoliadau dan do neu tu allan gyda chapasiti o dros 4,000, gan gynnwys lleoliadau â seddi
· unrhyw ddigwyddiad, o unrhyw natur, sydd â dros 10,000 o bobl
Gallwch ddod o hyd i'r wybodaeth ddiweddaraf gan Lywodraeth Cymru yma.
Pàs COVID Digidol y GIG
Os ydych chi wedi'ch brechu'n llawn, gallwch chi baratoi trwy arwyddo ar ddyfais glyfar yma.
Pàs COVID Papur y GIG
Os nad ydych yn gallu cael tocyn digidol, neu os nad oes gennych ID ffotograffig, gallwch ofyn am docyn COVID papur.
Noder: Bydd angen i chi aros am o leiaf bum niwrnod ar ôl eich dos olaf cyn gofyn am docyn papur.
Mae'r gwasanaeth hwn ar gael saith diwrnod yr wythnos, rhwng 9am a 5pm trwy 0300 3030 5667. Ni all meddygon teulu roi'r tocynnau hyn, ac ni ellir defnyddio'r tocynnau hyn fel prawf adnabod.
Noder: Gall y broses o ofyn am docyn papur gymryd hyd at 10 diwrnod gwaith, felly byddem yn annog myfyrwyr i ddefnyddio'r gwasanaeth hwn cyn gynted â phosibl.
Prawf Llif Unffordd
Os nad ydych chi wedi cael eich brechu'n llawn, gallwch barhau i gael mynediad i'r lleoliadau cymdeithasol hyn gyda thystiolaeth o brawf LFT negyddol a gymerwyd 48 awr cyn eich derbyn. Bydd angen mewngofnodi hwn i ap neu wefan y GIG.
Bydd staff y lleoliad yn gofyn am brawf o un o'r uchod gydag ID cyn caniatáu mynediad i'r lleoliadau cymdeithasol penodedig.
Ar hyn o bryd, nid oes unrhyw ganllawiau pellach ar gyfer unigolion nad sydd wedi'u brechu'n llawn oherwydd eithriadau meddygol. Wrth i'r wybodaeth hon ddod ar gael, byddwn yn ei chyfleu i chi.
Mae mwy o wybodaeth ar gael yma.
Fel bob amser, hoffem ddiolch i bob myfyriwr yn ein cymuned am eu dealltwriaeth, eu hamynedd a'u cefnogaeth.
Diolch yn fawr.
