What does AGM stand for?
It’s stands for Annual General Meeting.
What is an AGM?
The Annual General Meeting (AGM) is a meeting that happens every year where you can get the full picture of what impact we've made at the Union.
What happens at an AGM?
Among other things, you'll get an annual report from Trustees, an update on how the SU and your elected Full-Time Officers have been making the students' voice heard by the University, and have the chance to put any questions to the Trustees Board and vote on motions.
Why is an AGM important?
It is important as it allows students to get a first-hand insight into the operations of the Union and it allows the Union to be transparent with the students. The AGM is an opportunity for you to have your say on the direction of the Students’ Union.
You get the opportunity to look at the work of elected officers and to ensure that they are fulfilling the promises they made during their election campaign.
What is a motion?
A motion is a way to have your say in what important change needs to happen in the Union and the University. So it's your chance to put forward ideas that you would like to see implemented, either in the Union or across the university, that you think will make your student world a better place.
How do I submit one?
Please get in touch with Student Voice (student.voice@swansea-union.co.uk) to discuss your motion idea. The final motion will need to be sent to Student Voice by 23:59PM on the 8th of February.
How is this year’s AGM being run?
In light of Welsh Government COVID-19 guidelines, our AGM will be taking place online. We will be running the AGM through Zoom, and through a livestream on our Facebook page.

Mae'n sefyll am ‘Cyfarfod Cyffredinol Blynyddol’.
Beth yw CCB?
Mae'r Cyfarfod Cyffredinol Blynyddol (CCB) yn gyfarfod sy'n digwydd bob blwyddyn lle gall myfyrwyr gael y darlun llawn o ba effaith rydyn ni wedi'i chael yn yr Undeb.
Beth sy'n digwydd mewn Cyfarfod Cyffredinol Blynyddol?
Ymhlith pethau eraill, bydd adroddiad blynyddol gan yr Ymddiriedolwyr, diweddariad ar sut mae'r UM a'ch Swyddogion Llawn-amser etholedig wedi bod yn sicrhau bod y Brifysgol yn gwrando ar farn y myfyrwyr, a chyfle i ofyn unrhyw gwestiynau i Fwrdd yr Ymddiriedolwyr a phleidleisio ar gynigion.
Pam fod CCB yn bwysig?
Mae'n bwysig gan ei fod yn caniatáu i fyfyrwyr gael mewnwelediad uniongyrchol i weithrediadau'r Undeb ac mae'n caniatáu i'r Undeb fod yn dryloyw gyda myfyrwyr. Mae’r CCB yn gyfle i ti ddweud dy ddweud ar gyfeiriad Undeb y Myfyrwyr.
Bydd cyfle i ti edrych ar waith y swyddogion etholedig ac i sicrhau eu bod yn cyflawni'r addewidion a wnaethant yn ystod eu hymgyrch etholiadol.
Beth yw cynnig?
Mae cynnig yn ffordd i ddweud dy ddweud ynghylch pa newid pwysig sydd angen digwydd yn yr Undeb a'r Brifysgol. Felly dyma dy gyfle i gyflwyno syniadau yr hoffet ti eu gweld yn cael eu gweithredu, naill ai yn yr Undeb neu ar draws y brifysgol, y creda a fydd yn gwneud dy fyd fel myfyriwr yn lle gwell.
Sut ydw i’n cyflwyno cynnig?
Cysyllta â Thîm Llais y Myfyrwyr (student.voice@swansea-union.co.uk) i drafod dy syniad am gynnig. Bydd rhaid i’r cynnig gorffenedig gael ei anfon at Dîm Llais y Myfyrwyr erbyn 23:59pm ar 8fed Chwefror.
Sut mae CCB eleni yn cael ei gynnal?
Yng ngoleuni canllawiau COVID-19 Llywodraeth Cymru, bydd ein CCB yn cael ei gynnal ar-lein. Byddwn yn cynnal y CCB trwy Zoom, a thrwy lif byw ar ein tudalen Facebook.
