From Your Officer

Cam Messetter

Hey dudes, I'm Cam Messetter, I studied Business Management for the last 3 years, whilst playing Rugby League UPPA PIGS!!!

I was president of Rugby League over the past, year winning Team of the year at the Sports Swansea Awards! Sports has mafe my time at Swansea, I dont know where I would of been withouth it and the sense of community which comes with being involved. This is why I wanted to provide other students with the same experience and opportunities I did, giving back to the Sports community at Swansea.

What I'm Working On

Facilities and Improvements

In Progress

Objectives

We can all agree winning feels Amazing!

  • Through helping provide facillities for clubs to be able to train when they want and ideally where they want, will allow the teams to improove perfroamnce and results.
  • Help to reduce costs of facillity bookings and equipment rentals.
  • Understand Sport Swansea's Matrix system and provide information on how clubs can improove and progress.

An update: This year the sports hall is scheduled to be redeveloped and the Pavillion renovated. The impact on clubs for these is resulting in cancelled training sessions and impacting Varsity Training. From This I have worked on ensuring that mass participation has been impacted minimally and clubs have equal access to the remaining facilities on Bay. This will remain in progress until the end of my term and we know how the facilities are looking come next academic year.
